You will see the duration of the voice over as a blue horizontal line under the video in the bottom half of the screen.You will receive a 3 second count down before recording will begin. When ready, click on the red Record icon.Click on the microphone icon on the left under the preview screen.Using the vertical line find the place in the video where you would like to add voice over.
Click and drag the media item to move it along the timeline. The vertical line at the bottom of the screen indicates where your project will start playing when you hit the play arrow.The preview of your media will be at the top of your screen. If using multiple video clips and/or photos, arrange the media in the order in which you would like them to occur in your iMovie by dragging items so that the first media item is on the bottom left of the screen.Click Create Movie at the bottom of the screen to go into edit mode.Select the videos and photos you would like to include.This will open your Media library from which you can select the videos and photos you would like to include in your project.
